On April 17th, Zespół Szkół Administracyjno-Ekonomicznych welcomed primary school students and their families during its annual Open Day. Among the most popular attractions was a special stand dedicated to the European Values and Migration Project (EUAMI), where students actively involved in the project presented its activities and achievements.

The participants enthusiastically explained the goals of the project, focused on European values, migration, democracy, and intercultural dialogue, as well as the recruitment process and educational activities organized throughout the school year. Visitors could also see presentations, photos, and materials prepared by students participating in the international initiative.

Particular interest was generated by the students’ stories about the EUAMI Summer School held in July 2025 in Brixen. Students described the experience as both educational and life-changing. They recalled travelling across Europe by train and coach, attending lectures on the European Union, migration, and democratic participation, and taking part in a simulation of the European Parliament together with peers from Italy, Spain, and Bulgaria.

Many students emphasized that the summer school allowed them not only to gain academic knowledge, but also to build international friendships and better understand cultural diversity within Europe. One participant explained that meeting young people from different countries helped them “see the world from another perspective” and better appreciate shared European values such as solidarity, equality, and respect for human rights. Others highlighted emotional meetings with people who had experienced migration firsthand, which helped them better understand the human dimension of migration policies.

The presentation of the project inspired many visiting pupils, showing that school education can extend beyond the classroom and offer opportunities for international cooperation, travel, and active participation in European civic life.
